The intercollegiate Information Center provides unique information services in teacher training, teaching, education and issues related to these areas.

Academic databases and Reference services
Our information specialists maintain our data bases and provide services to teacher educators, These services are available to faculty teaching in colleges of education.

Research and Teaching Database a collection of books, academic journals, selected manuscripts and the information center Dissertation, Research and Research Tools databases published both in Hebrew and English encompassing subjects pertaining to teacher education, teaching and learning.
Database of Doctoral Dissertations on education and teacher education published by researchers from the Israeli arena of education, mainly in the Hebrew language.
Database of Research Reports a collection of research reports in Hebrew, performed by to faculty teaching in colleges of education
Database of Research Tools a unique collection of research tools (survey, observation, interview and other research tools) derived from our dissertation and research reports databases. Each tool is characterized by its research method, its validity and reliability.
Database of conferences in education an updated collection in English of conferences and meeting focusing on education.
- Subscription to external databases, in Hebrew and English, specializing in teacher education.
Referral services (within or external to the organization)
Reference query - personalized service, search by keywords, through our databases and external databases. The data is retrieved from the information center databases as well as external databases. : The queries are stored in the query archive and can be accessed online.
Bi-Monthly publication of collection of selected manuscripts in education published in international academic peer reviewed journals. The collection is published in English.

Our analytic information specialists prepare literature reviews for researchers, policymakers and teacher educators working in the Ministry of Education. Most of these reviews are published in the
Query Archive according to the customer permission.
Each review is performed by a combined multidisciplinary team combined of: an information specialist, an academic consultant and an academic administrator.
The Masa Portal is a pedagogical database specializing in Hebrew summaries of articles dealing with teaching, pedagogy, teaching methods, learning methods and teacher education in Israel.
The Masa Portal contains thousands of high quality information items. The Portal is online and free of charge. It includes weekly updates.
About the staff:
Dr. Liat Josefsberg Ben-Yehoshua
The Manager of MOFET's Information Center. Dr. Josefsberg Ben-Yehoshua obtained her doctorate in Philosophy from The Weizmann Institute of Science and an additional M.A. in Talmudic studies and Jewish Education from the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies. Liat served as a teacher and research and development coordinator of curriculum to gifted pupils at The Davidson Institute of Science Education and as a lecturer in Mechinat Lachish, of Meitarim Network for Jewish Democratic Education. She also leads the Post-Doctorate program in MOFET and the the Israeli Ed.D. initiative at the Research Authority.

An information Specialist in Education at MOFET's Information Center, Netta holds a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in Information Science from Bar-Ilan University. She is the sub-editor of the MOFET's
Jewish Portal of Teacher Education.
Dr. Yitzhak Isaak
Dr. Yitzhak Isaak serves as editor of the Research Tools database at MOFET's Information Center. He is a senior lecturer and a researcher at an Academic College of Education and a member of the research committee of MOFET Institute. Dr. Isaak obtained his PhD from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. In the past he managed the Admission Testing Unit for applicants to Israel's Teacher Training Colleges.
Dr. Isaak's main research interests are academic teaching, teacher education and Jewish philosophy.

Dr. Natan Berber
Dr. Natan Berber – MASA Portal Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Berber obtained his Doctorate in Philosophy from University of Haifa, and is a certified teacher and a graduate of the Academic College at Wingate. Natan served as a Lecturer in Logic at University of Haifa and at University of Richmond, Virginia. Prior to his current role at the MOFET Institute Natan served as an Intercollegiate Research Committee Coordinator and as an Information Specialist at MASA Portal.
Dr. Pnina Katz
A content and pedagogical editor MASA portal. Dr Pnina Katz obtained her doctorate in Philosophy from Tel-Aviv university in Educational studies focusing on teacher education. Pnina served as a school-teacher for 11 years and then as a teacher educator in Levinsky College of education in Tel-Aviv. Pnina is the Vice Editor of an academic Journal for Education Teacher Education "Dapim".
A content editor MASA portal, Michal holds an M.A. in Public Policy from Tel-Aviv University and a Diploma in Information Management from the Open University. She works as an information specialist and a content editor for MASA portal and the MOFET's International Academic Content Portal.
Literature Review Staff
Dr. Daniel Sperling
An analytic information specialist, and editor in the literature review unit at MOFET's Information Center. Daniel obtained his Doctorate in law from University of Toronto, Canada and Master's in law from University of Toronto, Canada and his Bachelor in law and Philosophy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to his current role, Daniel served as a senior lecturer at the School of Public Policy and School of Public Health, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a Director and Founder of the Jerusalem Forum for Bioethics, and a member of the Hebrew University Ethics Committee for Research on Human Subjects. In addition to his work in the MOFET Institute, Daniel teaches courses in the Master's program in law at the University of Haifa and Bar-Ilan University.

Dr. Amalia Ran
Dr. Amalia Ran is an analytic information specialist, and editor in the literature review unit at MOFET's Information Center. She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Maryland, College Park, and worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures in the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where she specialized in contemporary Latin American literature and Jewish Latin American culture. In 2009-2012, she conducted het post-doctorate research at Tel Aviv University and worked as a senior lecturer in the same institution. Currently, she is also a researcher at the Sverdlin Institute for Latin American History and Culture at Tel Aviv University.
