The Eighth Online Conference, “Cultural Diversity in a Digital World”, will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012.
This conference seeks to maintain the tradition of “The Center for Technology, Diversity, and Cultural Education”, namely, to hold online conferences in order to create an intercultural acquaintanceship and dialogue – essential factors in increasing knowledge and mutual respect among the whole of humanity.
The lectures in the virtual conference will be held online in three languages: Hebrew, English, and Arabic. Most of these lectures will be accompanied with simultaneous translation to the three languages.
The participating colleges of education include: Levinsky College of Education; Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology and Arts; Hemdat Hadarom – Academic College of Education, Judaism and Science Teaching; Al-Qasemi – Academic College of Education; The Arab Academic College of Education, Haifa; Talpiot – The Academic College of Education, Holon; David Yellin Academic College of Education; Oranim – The Academic College of Education; Ra’am Lipschitz Religious College of Education, Kaye Academic College of Education.

The lectures will be held in the Elluminate environment, which enables lectures to be delivered synchronically through a presentation and vocal and textual communication. Prerequisites for participation are a computer hooked up to the Internet, earphones, and a microphone.
